Meresa Harold Ogeda's journey is that of a young mother, an employee and an ambitious student who is making her mark in the world of journalism and communication.

Pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communication Studies at Rongo University, Meresa's journey is a testament to the power of hard work and determination.

She is in her second year.

Balancing the roles of a full-time student, a young mother, and an employee is not easy but Meresa is making it look effortless.

Meresa is making a name for herself as a determined and hardworking individual who is not afraid to take on a challenge.

Her journey to success started with a diploma in Journalism and Communication Studies at Kisii University in 2018, where she excelled in her studies and gained a reputation as a dedicated and talented student.

"My passion for journalism and communication sparked during my diploma program. I was fascinated by the power of the media to inform and inspire people, and I realized that I wanted to do more with my knowledge and skills," says Meresa.

After completing her diploma, Meresa faced one of the biggest challenges in her life. She became a young mother.  

With a young child to care for and a full-time job, Meresa had to find creative ways to balance her responsibilities and continue with her education.

"I have a young son who requires my attention and love. I also work, which is demanding. But I was determined to succeed and refused to let anything stand in my way," says Meresa.

Every day, Meresa takes care of her family before getting ready for work and attending her classes.

Despite the long hours and the physical demands of her schedule, Meresa remains focused and committed.

"My son is my motivation. I want to be a good example to him and show him that with hard work and determination, he can achieve anything he wants in life," says Meresa.

At her place of work, Meresa has quickly established herself as a talented and valuable member of the team.

With her strong work ethic, her excellent communication skills, and her natural talent for journalism, Meresa has become an important part of the radio station's coverage of local news and events.

"Working at Radio Tarumbeta has been a great learning experience for me. I have been able to put my knowledge and skills to the test and I am grateful for the opportunity," says Meresa.

But despite her busy schedule and her family responsibilities, Meresa never loses sight of her academic goals.

With her keen intellect and her relentless drive, she has become one of the most successful students in her program, earning high marks and recognition for her excellent work.

"I am determined to succeed in my education and make a better life for myself and my family. Pursuing my Bachelor's degree is not just about getting a degree, it's about investing in my future and making a positive impact in my community," says Meresa.

Meresa's dedication to her education and her community is evident in her commitment to giving back.

She volunteers her time and skills to local organizations and is always looking for ways to make a positive impact in her community.

"I believe that as a journalist, it is my responsibility to use my skills and knowledge to help others and make a positive difference in the world," says Meresa.
