Many, including his peers, have marveled at how the professor of surgery managed to pull off such academic achievements and still remained at the top of his game in the job horizon almost simultaneously. 

Magoha, 71, died suddenly at Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday where he was rushed after he collapsed while at his Nairobi home in Lavington.

His death shocked many going by the eulogies that continue to trickle in days after his demise.

But Magoha has left behind a legacy that will undoubtedly be spoken about for decades to come.

His impressive work spans across the medical field, lecture halls and administrative roles as university vice chancellor and most recently, Education cabinet secretary.

He has also previously held the post of chairman of the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) where he is credited for initiating wide-ranging reforms.

Magoha is also credited for wiping out cheating in the national examination during his tenure from 2018 to 2022.
