Betting companies have rushed to comply with new Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations that require the firms to remit taxes on a daily basis before 1 am.

The regulations allow the taxman to plug into various betting platforms for real-time computation of taxes. 

MP Thuo murder

Trial Judge Roselyn Korir is also expected to pass judgement on six people charged with the murder of former Juja MP George Thuo .

Boiyo is charged alongside his employees Christine Lumbazio Andika alias Lumba, Andrew Karanja Wainaina, Samwel Kuria alias Visi, Esther Ndinda Mulinge and Ruth Watahi Irungu alias Atlanta for the murder of Thuo on November 17, 2013.

Last year the six were put on their defence.

Magoha's death

Tributes continue to flow following the death of former CS George Magoha on Tuesday.

It is expected that the family will start plans for funeral arrangements.

Revenue mobilisations
