Most preferred school, Kabianga drops in this year's results

The school had a mean score of 9.3 in 2021 compared to 9.2 in the 2022 KCSE results

Kabianga High School in Kericho has posted a mean score of 9.2 in the 2022 KCSE results to prove its worth as an academic giant.

This is, however, a drop of 0.13 per cent from the 2021 results.

Out of the 482 entries recorded, 15 candidates scored straight As while another 101 had A- minus.

There was, however, one candidate with a D- minus.

The national school which was the most preferred choice among the 2022 KCPE class also had 115 scoring B+ plus and another 101 with B plain.

Some 79 others posted C+, C plain (20) and C- minus (7).

When he announced the placement for the Form ones, Cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu said the school emerged had 153,074 applications against the available population of 768 slots.

Last year, Nanyuki High was the most preferred school, receiving more than 188,000 applications.

This year, Nanyuki received 148,827 against 576 slots.
