Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has said Form One students will report to their new secondary schools from February 6, 2023.

While unveiling the Form One selection exercise at the Kenya Institute for Curriculum Development, Machogu said the process was carried out in a fair manner, based on choice, merit and availability of space. 

"The selection process was based on merit, availability of space in schools and a fair manner," he said. 

Machogu also said a total of 107,461 girls and 91,566 boys have been admitted to county schools across the country.

"We have admitted 111,105 females in extra county schools, with 117,055 males," he said. 

The CS also said all 106 National schools got placements with 18,794 females getting spaces and 20,178 males. 

The KCPE results were released on December 21, 2022, with two students emerging top with 431 marks. 

More than 1.2 million pupils sat the KCPE exam in November 2022.
