After politics, Nyanza people deserve development, Mbadi says

He said politics has been put aside so that they can work with the National Government

Nominated MP John Badi has thanked President William Ruto for giving an audience to Nyanza leaders.

He said that they will work together with the National Government so as to see development in their region.

"After politics, our people deserve development. And on this basis we're working together with the national government to realise our development goals," he said.

Nyanza region is the political stronghold of Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Ruto who competed with Raila in the last elections for the Presidency recalled that he got minimal votes from Nyanza and especially Homa Bay where he said he got only one per cent of votes.

In the company of his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Ruto got a warm reception from residents and leaders in the county.

Area leaders who received him included Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Senator Moses Kajwang’, MPs Lilian Gogo, John Mbadi,  Millie Odhiambo, Ong’ondo Were and Eve Obara, Adipo Okuome and Caroli Omondi.
