Why Karen Nyamu and Samidoh are trending on Twitter

Early Saturday morning Mugithi musician Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh and his baby mama and UDA nominated Senator Karen Nyamu were trending on social media. 

This is after videos emerged of the nominated Senator causing drama during Samidoh's wrap-up performance in Dubai.

In the videos, Nyamu went straight to where Samidoh was seated and forcefully sat on his lap.

Samidoh's wife, Edday Nderitu, who was present at the event stood from where she was seated and went and grabbed her husband's hand even as the security guards tried to separate the two women.

In yet another video, Nyamu had taken to the stage where Samidoh was performing and was forced down by security personnel. 

At first, Nyamu resisted stepping down from the stage and fans could be seen getting uncomfortable as the scene unfolded. 

All this happened in the presence of Samidoh's wife.

Later on in another video, Nyamu took to Samidoh's  table where he had been seated with his wife but was again escorted out by security personnel 

Kenyans on social media have since expressed mixed reactions following the events that are now at the centre of a social media debate.

Some criticized Nyamu for having followed Samidoh to the Dubai concert.
