"We must cushion Kenyans, any responsible government would do what is right to cushion those vulnerable in that country and the Kenya Kwanza removed these subsidies," he said.

He continued, "There was some reasoning that went into providing these subsidies on common products. Mumezitoa, how much have you saved, where has this money gone."

Ruto, he said, owes the country an explanation on where the saved money is.

He reminded the Kenya Kwanza administration that the problem facing Kenyans at the moment was not the Constitution or creating new offices but the rising cost of living.

Wamalwa spoke Wednesday during the celebration to mark one year since the launch of DAP-K.

He wondered why the administration was now planning to change the Constitution yet it had strongly opposed it.

He cited the position of the prime cabinet secretary and the proposal to create the office of the opposition leader.

"If you said you are not changing even a comma in this Constitution, why are you now going back to change it," he posed adding Kenyans want solutions to hunger.

"Sai iko ofisi ya first lady, second lady, the Office of the third lady halafu naskia kuna office ya first daughter," he said.
