Lugari constituency legislator Nabii Nabwera shared a not-so- light moment when he narrated the challenges facing schools in his constituency.

When the education committee met TSC CEO Nancy Macharia, Nabwera decried recurrent issues facing schools.

Nabwera cited Mufutu Secondary school which has an absentee principal.

"The principal's absenteeism has even led to strikes but nothing is being done. That makes me look bad as the area MP," Nabwera said.

At Bishop Njenga Girls, Nabwera said the Commission transferred a school principal who oversaw a mean score of 8.9 points and replaced with another who had posted a mean score of 3.4 points at their previous school.

"At Kivaywa High TSC didn't want to believe us, the principal was interdicted after causing the death of several watchmen," he said.

Macharia asked the legislator to meet the Commison to table his concerns.

"I may not have those details. We are very clear, if a school continues on the decline, principals are served a warning," Macharia said.
