VIDEO: CS Mutua displays taekwondo skills in South Korea

Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has shared a video demonstrating his knowledge and mastery of taekwondo skills.

Mutua who is in South Korea for an official visit together with President William Ruto took part in a short Taekwondo demonstration at the World Headquarters of Taekwondo (Kikkuwon) – Seoul.

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills.

It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing one’s spirit and life through training the body and mind and has today become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics.

Mutua on Friday met the Kenyan Embassy staff in Seoul South Korea.

He said the meeting was dominated by issues of staff welfare, service to the diaspora and how to leverage wonderful relationships with South Korea to grow the economy.

"I shared with them our new thrust of economic diplomacy based on mutual interests with our friendly nations’ brothers and sisters," he said.

He said the Kenya Kwanza administration is key to enhancing healthy and effective ties with South Korea.
