Normal power supply has been restored in parts of the country after a fault at the Isinya Substation was fixed.
The power outage Thursday afternoon affected various parts of the country.
"We have restored power supply to customers in parts of Western, South Nyanza, North Rift, Central Rift and Nairobi," Kenya Power said in a statement.
The utility company said its technical teams are working on restoration of power supply to the rest of the country.
It said the cause of the system disturbance has been identified and is being addressed by KETRACO engineers.
"A fault at Isinya Substation caused the power outage, we will communicate the progress of the restoration exercise in subsequent updates."
The company apologised to the affected customers.
