KPLC announces normalcy in Mt Kenya, parts of Nairobi and Coast

Kenya Power has announced the resumption of normalcy in the Mt Kenya region and parts of Nairobi and Coast region after long hours of a power outage.

In a statement on Wednesday evening, KPLC said its technical team is working to restore power supply to the remaining areas "as soon as possible".

"We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused by this outage and thank them for their patience," it said.

Earlier, the power company had announced of power outage in the aforementioned regions.

"At 11:09 am this morning, we lost power supply due to a system disturbance, affecting parts of Nairobi, Coast and Mt Kenya regions," it had said.

It added that it was working with other sector players to address the issue.
