Kenya has not yet reported any case of Ebola, the ministry of Health has said.

The ministry has, however, mapped out 20 out of the 47 counties as high-risk counties.

They include Busia, Nakuru, Kiambu, Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Makueni, Taita Taveta, Mombasa, Kwale, Kericho, Bungoma, Siaya, Migori, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Trans Nzoia, West Pokot, Turkana and Uasin Gishu.

Heath DG Patrick Amoth has called on Kenyans to report any visitors coming into the country through the informal routes to chiefs, nyumba kumi and village headmen.

The DG has, however, said there is no plan to suspend flights from Uganda but the ministry has instead heightened surveillance and screening at border points and all points of entry.

"We don't intend to stop flights because it is safer if people come in through the formal points as we will take contacts and keep tract of all those who are coming in," Amoth said.

Data from the ministry shows 18, 726 people were screened at the various points of entry between September 20 and 25.
