Man found naked at elderly woman’s house accused of rape

He was released on Sh500,000 bond pending the mention of the case on September 13.

A man who was found naked at a house where an elderly woman was relaxing was on Tuesday charged with attempting to rape her.

AP was also charged with another count of committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to the Sexual Offences Act.

He denied that charges before Kibera senior principal magistrate, Esther Boke.

The court heard in camera that the accused person committed the offence on August 27 at Wilson Airport without the victim's consent.

According to court papers, two men had visited the victim at her house when they walked in on the accused person while on top of the victim naked.

They arrested him and took him to Wilson Airport chief’s camp but not before members of the public beat him outside the house.

The court heard that while at the chief's camp, they were advised to take the accused person to Akilla police station.

They later went back to the house in the company of the police to try and take the victim to hospital for medical examination but they found her hostile and violent.

They left the house and after some hours went back and took her to Nairobi Women Hospital after managing to persuade her.

The court papers state that no evidence on rape was found during the medical examination.

The accused denied any wrongdoing and pleaded for lenient bond terms.

The court released him on a Sh500, 000 bond with no cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on September 13 .
