Chemusei being one of Ruto's political backyard saw him garner 49,707 votes against Azimio presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga.
Raila gathered 5,942 votes out of the 55,805 valid cast votes.
Roots leader George Wajackoyah got 101 votes, while Agano leader Waihiga Mwaure polled 55 votes.
The total registered votes in the constituency were 74,201, 296 ballots were rejected.
