Mwaure casts vote at Upperhill, Nairobi

Waihiga, a cleric, is one of four presidential candidates

Agano presidential candidate Mwaure Waihiga, saying voting is a divine right, has cast his vote at Uppero Hill High school, Nairobi.

Mwaure arrived at 7.14am with his wife and children.

Wearing his pastor's collar, he cast his vote.

"I'm happy to be here, happy to exercise my vote and I have voted for my candidates," he said.

He has promised to recover Sh20 trillion proceeds of corruption in offshore accounts. He has also promised a 50 per cent tax waiver on salaries.

Others candidates are Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga, DP William Ruto of UDA and George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party.

He is the  leader of the Agano Party, which he founded in 2006.

Mwaure urged Kenyans to vote for the leaders they hope will rebuild the country.

"I want to tell Kenyans that voting is not only a constitutional right but a divine right," he said.

Mwaure defined the moment as "golden" and termed it an "Obama moment". He urged Kenyans undecided on whether to vote to whisper a prayer for peace of mind and decide.
