Deputy President William Ruto has cast his vote at Sugoi.
The Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate arrived at the polling station alongside his wife Mama Rachel Ruto.
IEBC officials took DP Ruto’s biometrics before casting his vote at Sugoi polling station.
Ruto arrived at the Koschei primary school polling station casually dressed.
Speaking to the media, Ruto said that the exercise for choosing leaders for the next five years was underway.
"It has been very good that after so many months of campaigning and selling our manifesto and agenda, finally, the D-day is here. Everybody here wants a peaceful process and we even had a spontaneous prayer before voting," he added.
This will be his first attempt to contest the presidential race after serving as Uhuru Kenyatta's deputy for the last 10 years.
