President Uhuru Kenyatta arrives at Lang'ata Barracks in Nairobi City County for Friday's Trooping of the Color ceremony on July 29, 2022.

President Uhuru Kenyatta wowed Kenyans on Friday as he conducted the Kenya Army band.

In a rare show of skills, the head of state took the conductors wand to lead the first song of the Kenya army celebrations.

This was during the KDF band presentation session which was led by Warrant officer 1, Kennedy Makokha.

"Kwa heshima, your excellency, I humbly request you conduct our first song..." the officer asked President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Before beginning to conduct, he received some brief instructions on how to lead the orchestra.

As he stood before the band, Uhuru smiled as he gave his first shot at directing the event.

He stood proudly before the musicians and guided them through their song, presiding over Kenya military's finest musical talent.

This took place at the Lang'ata Barracks in Nairobi, where the President officially opened the Kenya Army Band Headquarters and Defence Forces School of Music.

Uhuru will also lead the Trooping of the Colour Ceremony at the Barracks.
