ODM leader Raila Odinga has announced that he will hold a mega rally in Thika, Kiambu County, on Saturday.

The rally will mark the start of his official campaigns in 2022.

Raila said he would address residents of Thika in a bid to popularise his presidential bid.

"Saturday, we are in Thika (sic). We are going to have our first public engagement in 2022 in Thika," Raila said.

"All roads will lead to Thika. We are going to speak to the people of Murang'a and Kiambu in Thika," he said.

Raila has not had a political rally this year. He has only attended funerals in Nakuru and Kajiado counties.

The former prime minister spoke when he met youth leaders from Kiambu County, who are supportive of his presidential bid.
