EDUCATION Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi should be given time to deliver, Saboti MP David Wafula has said.
Knut and Kuppet are pushing for Kaimenyi’s sacking for allegedly having policies that are unfriendly to teachers.
Speaking at Chepkoilel Secondary School in his constituency on Saturday, Wafula said Kaimenyi may change and perform better.
However, he criticised the Education ministry’s regulation that students should report to school not earlier than 7.30am and leave earlier than 4pm.
The MP issued a Sh1 million cheque towards the construction of classrooms.
He pledged Sh1.2 million to set up a laboratory in this financial year.
“Needy students should not drop out of school due to lack of school fees,” Wafula said.
