Some ODM legislators have questioned the rationale behind the exclusion of IEBC chief Issack Hassan from the EACC list.

MPs Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja) and Joyce Lay (Taita Taveta) have questioned why Issack’s name was excluded while former exam chief Paul Wasanga was included, even though all were linked to the scandal.

“Both Isaack and Wasanga were linked to the corruption but Kenyans must be told why Isaack’s name was excluded from the list presented to Parliament by the President,” Wandayi said.

The two leaders said the IEBC, as presently constituted, cannot be trusted to oversee the next election.

They addressed a press briefing at Parliament Buildings yesterday.

“IEBC must be overhauled and restructured,” Lay said.
