Ol Kalou by-election: What each candidate got

DCP candidate Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru won the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election held on July 16, 2026, after securing 35,440 votes, according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

UDA's Samuel Muchina Nyagah came second with 5,450 votes.

Jubilee candidate Wilson Mwaniki Kigwa garnered 198 votes, followed by Stephen Wanyoike Waithaka (NLP) with 103 and Timothy Kamau Kariuki (PM) with 51.

Edwin Kariiri Muchiri (PNU) received 28 votes, Abdifatah Hussein Abdullahi (FPK) got 19, Edward Mathenge Mwaniki (KMM) secured 16, while Rachael Wangui Njoroge (PDP) received 11 votes.

The constituency has 73,480 registered voters.

A total of 41,656 ballots were cast, translating to a voter turnout of 57 per cent.
