

Cooking a golden, crispy oven-baked chicken at home requires just a handful of ingredients and a few simple steps.
According to the recipe, you'll need one whole chicken, one tablespoon of butter or margarine, two-thirds of a cup of Original
Bisquick mix, one-and-a-half teaspoons of paprika, one-and-a-quarter teaspoons of salt, and a quarter teaspoon of pepper.
Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and melt the butter in a rectangular baking dish.
Mix the Bisquick, paprika, salt and pepper before coating the chicken.
Place the chicken skin-side down in the hot dish, bake for 35 minutes, turn it over, then bake for another 15 minutes, or until the juices run clear and the chicken is fully browned.
