The Star has opened nominations for its prestigious Star Person of the Year award, which honours individuals and groups who have made an outstanding impact in Kenya.
Among the past winners are former Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti and former Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji, both honoured in 2018 for their contributions to justice and law enforcement.
In 2019, Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah, Justice Mumbi Ngugi, and former Central Bank Governor Patrick Njoroge were recognised for their integrity and public service. Health workers were honoured in 2020 for their efforts in fighting Covid-19, while in 2021, National Cohesion and Integration Commission Vice Chair Wambui Nyutu took the title for her role in promoting peace.
Nominations for the 2025 Star Person of the Year are now open and will close on November 30, 2025.
