The Nairobi–Nakuru–Mau Summit highway upgrade will span 175 km from Rironi to Mau Summit, including the A8 South section from Rironi to Naivasha (56.8 km).

Key upgrades include a dual 6-lane carriageway from Naivasha to Nakuru, a 4-lane Rironi–Naivasha section, and dual 4-lane Nakuru–Mau Summit segment, with Nakuru urban areas featuring a 4-lane viaduct.

Six toll stations will be built along Rironi–Mau Summit, with two on the Rironi–Naivasha stretch.

The two-year construction (2026–2027) leads to a 28-year operation period.

Financed through USD 370.7 million equity and USD 1.11 billion debt, CRBC leads the Sh170 billion project.

    Tolling is Sh8/km.
