After the death of Raila Odinga, ODM leaders have voiced different views on the party’s direction.
Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and Minority Leader Junet Mohamed said Raila’s last instruction was to work with President Ruto and remain in the broad-based government.
Treasury CS John Mbadi echoed this, affirming ODM’s place in government. ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna emphasised preparing for the 2027 elections under Raila’s guidance.
Kisii Governor Simba Arati assured members the party remains strong, while Siaya Governor James Orengo urged unity, stressing that political parties are vital to democracy and must not be destroyed.
