
For August 2025, data from the Central Bank of Kenya shows that several commercial banks offered the lowest deposit interest rates, meaning savers earned less on their money.
Premier Bank Kenya Limited recorded the lowest rate at 2.82 per cent, followed by Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited at 3.25 per cent.
Citibank N.A Kenya stood at 6.07 per cent, while Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited offered 6.08 per cent.
Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited posted 6.12 per cent.
These figures highlight the variation in deposit rates across lenders, underscoring the need for customers to compare options to maximise returns on savings.
