The primary anxieties of the Kenyan electorate concerning the upcoming 2027 general elections are deeply rooted in the integrity and execution of the electoral process itself.
The most significant concern, cited by a commanding 45% of respondents, is "Political interference/state manipulation and corruption of the electoral process."
This highlights a pervasive skepticism about external influence subverting the democratic will.
The second leading worry, expressed by 34% of Kenyans, is the "Lack of trust in IEBC/Newly appointed commissioners, Chair." This substantial figure points to a critical crisis of confidence in the independent body mandated to oversee the elections.
Cumulatively, 77% of the public’s concerns are focused squarely on the trustworthiness and fairness of the process and its custodians. Other concerns, while important, are less dominant: Violence/insecurity stands at 13%, and Technology failures at 3%.
Only 5% offered no response to the survey question.
