Kenya scored 2.27 on the 2023 Global Peace Index.
This placed it ahead of Uganda (2.32), Ethiopia (2.65), and Somalia (3.05), but behind Tanzania, which recorded the region’s lowest score at 2.18.
The index, produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace, ranks countries on a scale from 1 (most peaceful) to 5 (least peaceful).
A lower score indicates greater peace.
The infographic highlights that top-ranked countries have remained consistent for nearly two decades, underscoring the long-term benefits of stable, peaceful policies.
