

The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) officially kicked off on Saturday, August 2, with hosts Tanzania recording a 2-nil win against Burkina Faso in the tournament’s opening match.
The clash took place at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam and paves way for Day 2 matches, which will see Kenya's Harambee Stars face host DR Congo at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani on Sunday, August 3, at 3pm.
The second match of Day 2 will see two-time champions Morocco face off against Angola at 6 pm at the Nyayo Stadium.
This year’s CHAN will run from August 2 to 30, with matches hosted across three East African nations—Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
