
Indonesia ranks first on the World Giving Index for the seventh year running, having first overtaken Myanmar in 2017.
Kenya ranked second globally in generosity, scoring 63 points in the World Giving Index 2024, released by the Charities Aid Foundation.
The index measures generosity based on three key behaviours: donating to charity, helping a stranger, and volunteering time.
Indonesia topped the list with 74 points, followed by Kenya, Singapore and The Gambia tied at 61, and Nigeria with 60.
Other countries in the top 10 include the United States, Ukraine, Australia, United Arab Emirates, and Malta.
