The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in Kenya faces numerous obstacles in its efforts to combat corruption.

A key challenge is the high turnover rate and shortage of specialized skills, which affects the quality and continuity of investigations.

Inadequate budget allocation and delays in disbursement from the National Treasury further limit the Commission’s ability to operate effectively.

Political interference remains a persistent issue, undermining the Commission’s independence and ability to prosecute high-profile cases.

Additionally, the EACC faces reluctance from other agencies to collaborate, weakening inter-agency cooperation.

Slow judicial processes and a weak judiciary create further bottlenecks, delaying case resolutions.
