The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has cautioned former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua against making statements that could incite ethnic tensions and undermine national unity.

In a letter dated February 27, 2025, NCIC Chairperson Samuel Kobia expressed concern over Gachagua's remarks made on February 23 at a church in Igembe North, Meru County.

The NCIC urged Gachagua to exercise restraint and avoid utterances that could disrupt peaceful co-existence.
