In Summary

  • ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna made the announcement on Wednesday following a meeting of the Central Management Committee chaired by Raila to deliberate on internal party affairs and also matters affecting the people and the nation of Kenya at large.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga designated Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o to lead ODM during periods of his absence.

The decision by Raila is in light of his gruelling campaign schedule and the need for him to focus on his bid for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson seat.
