The race to replace Anne Amadi as the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary intensifies as the Judicial Service Commission shortlists seven candidates.
According to a notice published in local newspapers on Friday, the Commission disclosed that these candidates were selected from a pool of 43 applicants.
"Following the advertisement of the position of the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, the Judicial Service Commission received a total of 43 applicants," part of the notice read.
Ndemo Paul Maina is currently Acting as the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary.
The seven were picked after the commission reviewed the applications for completeness and conformity with the constitutional and statutory requirements set out in the advertisement of October 23, 2023.
The Seven candidates are set for the interview scheduled for March 18, 2024.
