President William Ruto on Monday met the US United States Secretary of Defence, Lloyd J. Austin III, at State House, Nairobi.
Austin landed in the country for a weeklong trip to Africa.
During his visit to State House, Austin met with his Kenyan counterpart Aden Duale.
US Secretary of Defence Lloyd J. Austin arrived speaking at State House in Nairobi on September 25, 2023.
Both Duale and Austin held a joint press conference at the defence headquarters in Nairobi.
Austin will also visit with US military personnel deployed to Kenya, reiterating the Department's appreciation and gratitude for their service and dedication to promoting peace and security in the region.
