Fertiliser prices in Kenya are set to increase because of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis which is likely to curtail global supplies.
On Tuesday, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya told a parliamentary committee that the current high prices could go up further and that could affect Kenya’s food production.
The cost of fertilizer is expected to escalate to over Sh7,000 for a 50kg bag, according to Munya.
