University of Nairobi linguistics professor Okombo Duncan Okoth is dead.
Okoth died on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
"Dear colleagues, we are sad to inform you that Prof Okoth left us today to be with his maker. Our hearts go out to his family, students, colleagues and friends..." Faculty of Arts Dean Peter Wasamba said in a message to UoN staff.
Okoth was born on November 8,1950 on Rusinga Island, Homa Bay County.
