While sharing the image on its social media handles, Thika Town Today- 3T captioned it as: “Former President Uhuru Kenyatta seen enjoying a holiday Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Today (Sunday, October 16), he also donated a bus to Partakilat Primary School in Lolgorian, Narok County.”

Fact Checker has however established that the image is old.

A search of the image via Google Lens shows that it was published by The Guardian on December 7, 2015.

The Guardian article was titled Kenyans mock 'visiting' President Uhuru Kenyatta over frequent travel. A tweet by @erwoti with an image of Kenyatta in a tour van was also embedded in the article.

#UhuruInKenya took time off to visit Nairobi National Park. He was impressed that Nairobi has a park within the city,” @erwoti tweeted on December 6, 2015.

@erwoti’s tweet was published after Kenyans took to Twitter to criticise the former president for frequently travelling out of the country under the hashtag #UhuruInKenya.
