Mutiple accounts on Twitter had on Tuesday alleged that voting happened at the Kenyan Embassy in Australia, and even went ahead to post results.
Speaking to the Star on Tuesday, Mary Wangui, who has been in Australia for the last one month, confirmed that no voting was done in the country on August 9.
Wangui, however, said that she was disappointed for not being able to vote.
Another fact-check by AFP also found the claim that the Kenyan diaspora in Australia voted was false.
