There has been a statement being circulated on social media claiming to have originated from the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini’s Ministry of Health.
According to the post, the Ministry of Health was desperately looking for nurses to hire.
“The Ministry of Health is desperately looking for nurses to hire. Those interested may you apply to this email-matsebulamgmail.com. Please not that this is a very short notice. The interviews will be contacted tomorrow. You need to send your applications tonight,” the post claimed.
The fact-check has noted that the information is fake and that it did not originate from the Ministry of Health.
Also, the government flagged the post as fake, asking people to ignore it.
“The nation is advised that this is fake. Public service vacancies are announced through established media channels,” the government said through a post on its Twitter account.
According to the fact-checker, the fake statement has a lot of errors, and the language used is not official.
Also, the government cannot issue a statement advertising vacant positions within its ministries and gives an immediate deadline.
From the post, the purported mail given is personal, yet the ministry was the one seeking to hire nurses.
