To what extent can a politician go to endear himself or herself to a political master? Quite far, it seems. A youthful legislator reportedly recently flew to a foreign destination to join a delegation that had already arrived in the host capital. Curiously, the MP supposedly appeared to have no official role in the visit. He is reportedly not the chairperson of any parliamentary committee, and none of the committees on which he serves were said to have any scheduled engagements there. Yet observers could not help but notice the widely circulated photographs from the trip, which were purportedly  accompanied by captions hinting at emerging political alignments ahead of the 2027 elections.

Two high-ranking figures in a popular political outfit are said to have traded blows after a disagreement over party affairs escalated beyond words. Corridors understands that one of the insiders has reportedly long viewed his counterpart, a senior party official, as a mole bent on undermining the political vehicle from within. When attempts to resolve their differences are said to have diplomatically failed, tempers reportedly flared, culminating in an alleged physical altercation that required the intervention of colleagues. The fallout is said to be far from over. The two are now said to be barely on speaking terms, with relations between them at an all-time low.

A political camp linked to one of the country's top leaders is reportedly uneasy about a recent decision. Why? An ally of the leader was overheard expressing concern that while the verdict currently favours their political chief, it may have inadvertently left the door open for a reversal down the line. According to insiders, the anxiety is said to stem from ongoing debate over whether the findings could ultimately compel a return to the status quo ante. Such an outcome, some within the camp reportedly fear, would likely complicate their political calculations ahead of the 2027 elections. With the battle far from over, the possibility of an adverse turn is said to be keeping key players in the camp on edge.

A decision by several government appointees in a critical ministry to plunge headlong into the 2027 campaign season is reportedly causing unease within official circles. As political activity gathers momentum, the officials are said to be either unwilling to wait for the appropriate time to step aside and seek elective office, or allegedly reluctant to resign altogether. Instead, they have reportedly abandoned their workstations to join the campaign trail while still holding office. The move has is said to have left many insiders worried about the impact on service delivery, with fears that their prolonged absence could allegedly disrupt operations and pile additional responsibilities onto deputies and junior staff tasked with holding the fort.
