There was drama at a popular
restaurant within a neighbouring county of South Rift last weekend.
A senior county official was reportedly caught
red-handed in a compromising position with the wife of his boss, who happens to
be the governor.
Surprisingly, the woman has
been allegedly having marital issues with the husband after he took a young
woman who recently graduated from an international university as a side chick.
Our small bird informs us that
there was a heated argument between the senior official and the woman over
unknown issue leading to the confrontation.

Recently, we told you of a top
state functionary who was considering quitting rather than getting hounded out
of office.
We gather that the fellow is reportedly
negotiating with the concerned parties for a respectable exit strategy.
More officers with whom he
shares the predicament are said to be taking cue.
The officers were reportedly overheard at a
secluded joint where they always meet exuding confidence that those they want
to approach will play ball.

Who is this former county boss
reportedly struggling very hard to meet the head of state to regain his
political favour?
Our mole tells us that he has
tried all means possible in vain, including promising some influential
politicians handsome rewards should they succeed in facilitating the meeting.
Those who have been approached
are, however, just giving him the needed attention but not helping, Word has it
that the powers that be do not want anything to do with him.
The man's past record is not
very clean and is seemingly marked by several controversies, which might be the
stumbling block.

They say when it rains, it
pours. This Idiom well describes the situation in a par-ticular county in Mt
Kenya region.
There is a litany of
corruption cases involving the sit-ting governor and his predecessor, including
senior officials such that an investigative agency has reportedly stepped in.
A project that was to be
completed several years ago has allegedly become a cash cow to them.
Every financial year, we are
told, millions of shillings are supposedly sunk into it.
Those aware of the issue say
it is a matter of time before they are arrested.
