A FORMER GOVERNOR, who is allegedly involved in fraudulent activities, is in financial distress. We are told banks are breathing down his neck, threatening to auction his properties as he has been unable to service loans taken either by his companies or himself. The distressed man recently checked into a hospital and hopes to use the admission to buy more time and get some mercy from the banks that are driving him to despair.

We are told the inquiry has affected the governor so much he no longer spends time in office. Could he be among the suspects?
