A first-term lawmaker continues to shock his colleagues with his antics and demonstrations of self-importance. The youthful leader is chauffeured around the city in a convoy of four cars. The flashy politician is always accompanied by three mean-looking bodyguards. The menacing guards, complete with walkie-talkies, escort the lawmaker even to Parliament, where they hang around around the precincts of the august House as they wait for their boss. Many of his counterparts and staff in Parliament are wondering why the leader, who is virtually unknown outside his backyard in a remote Rift Valley county, feels overly insecure in the capital.

Visitors to a newly elected county boss are regularly worried over his love and obsession with cameramen. They say there is nothing the boss does without having his camera people present. Even if it is a discussion they have which is serious to help in planning the county, the boss always says let his press people be allowed to take pictures. He doesn’t know some people do not like having their pictures taken and, hence, withdraw from any form of meeting that would otherwise be beneficial to them.

Two senior government officials are still in shock after they were rudely turned away from seeing a big man. Why? The duo appeared for the meeting smelling of alcohol and the big man's handlers suspected they were intoxicated. They were told in no uncertain terms that the boss would not meet them while they were in that condition. However, they kept hanging around at the reception area until the boss was informed of the official's presence and their "status". The boss walked out, gave the two a thorough dressing down and left.
