Some diplomats are a happy lot. Reason? The presidential election petition judgment vindicated some of them who were on the verge of being recalled for hurriedly declaring the poll process was above standard. At a public event in the city recently where they all bumped into each for the first time since the conclusion of the election, we are informed they hugged while laughing out loud to the bemusement of other guests who later learnt they were celebrating. Our mole who eavesdropped on the conversation says two of them who are still new could not hide their joy that they are now assured of a longer stay in the country.
