Sources whispered to Corridors that some promotions are being made at director level. To get his way easily in the controversial process, the man involved included the name of a relative of a top government insider. Interestingly, the relative was unprocedurally promoted last year. Those in the know say the promotions lack regional balance and they are wondering what their boss is up to.

A senior member of the cabinet of a county government from the Lake region is nursing serious finger wounds after a disagreement with a county official turned physical. One of the CECs was "accidentally" found preaching against six-piece voting pattern, a move that angered a junior county staff who pounced on him. He accused the senior official of being disloyal to the incumbent governor who is a beneficiary of the direct party tickets and has been in the frontline in selling the six-piece voting model in the region. The CEC keen to keep his job is said to have reached out to the junior officer not to escalate the issue and has even gone to the extent of greasing palms to buy the much-needed silence.

Some police officers were overheard debating about the chaos that were experienced recently. The officers argued that the leaders did not heed their advice of possible chaos. This saw the leaders attacked and raised concerns among the security circles. The officers argued had the leaders listened to the advise, the chaos witnessed could have been avoided. Who is to blame?
