A former lawmaker surprised scribes when he started confessing how he has burnt millions in his campaigns and still the ground does not look promising. The former lawmaker from a county in Nyanza confessed to have spent almost Sh40 million in the botched primaries, monies he claimed were payment from supplies he made to a lucrative parastatal. The man who lost the primaries by a whisker has returned armed with an independent ticket and a Sh50 million loan he has obtained using his Nairobi home as a collateral. Just recently, another candidate from the region was publicly wailing how millions realised from the sale of a property disappeared in campaigns and he still failed to win the ticket.
