Investigators probing financial impropriety involving millions of shillings in a county in Nyanza have clashed over the ongoing enquiry. The discord follows claims money could have changed hands among them to ensure a half-baked report is presented to Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji (pictured). The shoddy report would, in the long run, mean the collapse of cases targeting senior officials in the county. A little bird whispers to Corridors of Power the investigating officers have differed since only a few of them benefitted from the 'loot' . The decision by police authorities to reduce some graduates’ salaries is causing concern among some security officials. They fear some of the affected officers may sabotage operations and want the police managers to handle the matter carefully. This is because the country is heading into a sensitive election season, hence, clear command and control are needed. One security official was overheard complaining about whoever advised the police managers to effect the salary cuts at such a sensitive time and whether it can be rescinded. The affected group intends to move to court to, among others things, cite their bosses for contempt.

Corporate honchos are sounding the alarm over the high number of sitting MPs making trips to their premises demanding election support in cash and kind. The captains of industry are perturbed by sudden high number of calls and rekindling of feel-good vibes from elusive and aloof politicos months to general election. They say the bothersome lawmakers now appear meek, humble and subdued as they seek funding to defend their seats after four years of no contact. The corporate heads now say they have to cobble together all manner of outrageous reasons to ward off the predatory leaders out to drain cash from their coffers

Many theories are being thrown around about how and why the three terrorists managed to escape from the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison. Whereas some think it was a well-planned scheme to fix some senior officials there, others think it involved corruption and demonstrates how vulnerable the system is at large. Insiders say there was no escape but a facilitation to leave the facility and whoever may try to stand on the way of the players risk their lives.  Top prisons managers are worried of the consequences of the probe.
