A man who has been claiming to be an aide to an MP (Parliament pictured) from the Nyanza region has found himself alone after word went out that police were planning to arrest him over defilement allegations. The legislator is said to have disowned the man and told detectives that the suspect does not work for him and is "just one of those people who hang around him". Pictures of the man and the young girl in compromising positions have been circulated on social media but he insists they are photoshopped. The man is now accusing the MP's rivals who are nursing political ambitions of targeting him.

An MP from a county in the Rift Valley is said to be cautioning institutions in his constituency against allowing well-wishers to make improvements on projects he initiated. The lawmaker sees the donors as a threat to his re-election bid in 2022. Word has gone around that the lawmaker warns the management of the institutions, mostly schools, with dire consequences if they allow other people to make improvements on “his projects”. The constituents are now wondering why the MP believes he's solely responsible for the projects yet they were put up by public funds.

A go-slow by employees of a county government in one of the counties in Eastern has been linked to a legislator from the region. The lawmaker, who does not see eye to eye with the county boss, is said to have incited the employees to down their tools over delayed salaries. His plan was, however, thwarted by the governor's administration after senior officials engaged the employees in a dialogue and convinced them to return to work. The legislator, who only sees evil in the administration, hangs around politicians who are plotting to unseat the governor next year.
